Exquisite Gloves mod?

Post » Sun Dec 19, 2010 9:26 am

I would like to add exquisite gloves to my game but searching via Google leads me to fairly sketchy results. Is there a good mod that adds these to the game? I wouldn't mind other exquisite styles as well if there is something that does it all.

Thanks!

Adds many exquisite types of clothing/jewelry, including some great gloves.

The mod is all around awesome, and I highly recommend it.

Nifty, this seems great. I have one question. Where do you get the shoe version of the boots of blinding speed? Do you have to choose one of the two when you actually do the quest?

The Boots remain untouched in this mod. Find them in the usual manner.
This mod adds a new shop in Vivec, and the Shoes can be purchased there. (for 2550 gold)

edit: I think you can also find the Shoes in Leveled Lists, when you are high enough level.

Sweet! Now to hunt around for those gloves and snag the boots as well. I like what I've seen so far. Thanks for the suggestion. I wish there was something that overhauled the exquisite robe look as well. This Robe of Drake's Pride is hideous! :)

http://canadianice.moddersrealm.com/RobeReplacer.html?action=downloads;sa=view;down=48 upgrades every robe.
You have to register, but the mod is really great, and fully customizable between Hurdy Gurdy or NioLiv's styles.

Love it. Now I can get the attention of the Morrowind ladies for sure!

One thing I don't get though - why add all the cool looking belts when they don't display even if you have nothing on?

Well, I *was* happy, and then I tried to buy items from the new vendor. I bought several things and decided to reload to do it a bit differently. At first, the game would load and simply not show the new items as buyable anymore (only the ones I had bought before the reload). I tried exiting the game and reloading, and now both of my saves won't load because of an expression error:

Expression Error Unable to find referenced object @@@@@@@@@@@@@ #m Gals__Upgrade
(it gets cut off on the left side where there are more @ symbols, and more on the line below that I can't read)
[something] Gals__Upgrade_Initialise.

So now I can't play anymore basically unless I can fix this. Both saves have me in that shop that is created by this mod. I'm pretty sure that if I try to load without it I'll be in a wall.

The garbled errors containing "@" symbols are often transitory. Have you tried reloading those saves a few times (and also exiting from Morrowind, then loading them)?

It would be good to know how many times you have tried to load those saves, because if it was only a couple times, I'd suggest trying again.

So far the answer is 4. The first 2 times the items weren't there, so I figured I would restart to see if it fixed it, which led to the @ errors. I'll try some more.

Ok, after 2 more times it loaded. This time there were a few more items mysteriously available but with 1 fewer exquisite belt. Should I expect to get these errors all the time now with this mod? It seems pretty unstable so far.

Edit - I've continued experimenting and the error returns or not at random after I open the shop window to browse, then reload the game. Each time the item list is randomly a bit different.

It might help knowing which mod the error is coming from, It isn't the Unique Jewelery mod.
But like John says, these errors usually clear themselves out.

I never got an error like this prior to installing the jewelry mod and the robe mod. The text suggests Galsiah's Character Development, but if it is this I would have to think it is related to one of the new mods in some way.

Is the shop supposed to randomly change items in stock? I now have a save where I bought the blinding speed shoes. At the time I could open the shop and see the same stuff. After exiting the game completely and loading that save, the shopkeep has the boots in stock along with most, if not all of the items I bought not 2 seconds before in game time.

Like many merchants in the game, the containers that hold their items use Leveled Lists to randomly generate what is for sale, so it can be different each time.

No idea about the returning error

I've never seen a shop missing an item that I had bought before a reload though. It doesn't feel like other shops. The same supposedly unique item was also in stock twice, though maybe the modder didn't make it unique by accident.

Well, Bethesda usually just did it for small things like ingredients, beginner weapons, clothes... so you wouldn't really notice unless you were really paying attention.
Tealpanda used quite a large selection of Leveled Lists for her shop, so it's much more noticeable when unique items aren't there, and also creates the chance that the same item will reappear even after you buy it.

This is nuts. I guess I have to deactivate the mod and hope that being in a wall doesn't kill me or something. Every time I load now there is a 3 out of 4 chance the game exits because of this error.
