Downloading the G.E.C.K. from Bethesda website? : Fallout 3

Is there a point to downloading the GECK from http://fallout.gamesas.com/eng/downloads/geck.html if you don't even have the game?

Nope. The GECK is a tool for creating mods for Fallout 3 for the PC. You need to have the game installed on your computer to even be able to do anything with it.

It does not come with the GECK. The GECK is an additional tool you CAN download. Thats why its up there. It does not come with the game.

TES Obivion does not come with the CS either.
Only Morrowind came wtih the CS.

TES:IV GOTYE does come with the CS. I don't know about the original.
