Fallout 1: So... Now What?

Post » Thu Dec 23, 2010 5:54 am

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I was wondering if you guys don't mind me asking some other questions.

1: Where in the world am I going to find out how to get a water chip? I've been to most of the major towns (except Necropolis), but the hints are vague at best, non-existent at worst.
2: Is there a way to set companions to healing themselves? He has a bad habit of running away every time I approach in combat to heal him, resulting in him running away and dying. >.>

Thank you!

(agent c: I always hated it when Toad said that. Made me want to punt him off the castle...)

Your answer is in your question

They will heal eventually over time, you may want to try pressing Z and resting a bit... (edit, sorry, didnt see the combat bit. Gizmo's advice is good here. you may also want to try changing formation to "Stay Close" so thye don't move as far).

1: agent_c is right :tops:
2: You can heal your NPC's with Stimpacks both in and out of combat
Spoiler
Just put a stim in your weapon hand and "attack" your NPC with it... Use this to heal Dogmeat in a fight.

Ahh the beginning of FO1. Once you get a bit stronger, or you find some weapon stash (killing a merchant etc), you'll feel really good. :D Can't describe the feeling, you'll know what I mean when you manage to kill a group of people without reloading.
