Fallout 2 bug (I don;t know where to put this).

First thank you for taking your time to read this, now my problem is that Im in san fransico more precisely the hubogolist "base" and I did the quest to kill ahs-9 I simply pickpocketed explosives onto him and booked it straight for the stairs. The Boom, Every body hates me, so then I go up the stairs combat ends everybody is happy and and ahs 9 is dead.

Mission success. Now I want to refill the tank with fuel and the Shi scientest said he would do it for me if I get hime hardened power armor from crocket, but I don't no if going in guns blazing killing anything but crocket will allow me to speak to him.
My problem is for some odd reason ahs-7 is directly infront of the first door you see when you enter there "base". You can't push him, you can't go around him. Leaving and coming back does nothing, restarting the game does nothing, and leaving san fransico also doesn't effect anything. He won't move. Now I decided to do what I did with AHS-9 and plant 2 plastiqe explosives on him. Well the first one goes off but the second one doesn't, so I left then came back and the second bomb still is there but it won't go off.

So I planted another explosive on him and boom, then the game crashes. Turns out no matter where this explosision happens inside the base the game crashes, of course I only have so much to work with thanks to ahs-7.
Now I have a crappy pc so is that the issue because AHS-7 is really starting to piss me off.
Thanks for reading this, sorry if my spelling is horrific I just want to do this fast so i can finally beat this game.

Shouldn't be cause your computer, Fallout 2 is old and your comp should be able to handle it. You have Fallout 2 patched by any chance (I have only played it through Gametap, so I don't know about the patches.)? I got a bug in Hub Base, and it turned out to be game-breaking, hopefully you have a recent back-up save. Maybe others in the community will know how to fix this without going to another save.

Ah yes, the http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=374323&sid=7f1a9f1751f67a381e6908665642449f is very common in FO2. http://user.tninet.se/~jyg699a/fallout2.html also mentioned something about it in his walkthrough.

It has nothing to do with FO2 or your pc but rather the OS you're using because fallout 2 was originally compatible with win95/98.

A few "possible" solutions:

* Load a previous save before AHS7 was blocking the door. (First rule of FO2: save like your life depends on it!)

* Try and try again to reverse pickpocket for the explosive kill and hope you'll get lucky eventually.

* Try sneaking and dropping explosives on the floor 2 hexes away from intended target. You can try 1 hex but there is a high chance you'll get caught.

* Try using the bag (from Modoc) put multiple explosives in the bag to create a mega BANG! Drop it 1 hex away, the target won't notice because the game code registers a bag. :D

* Try using a couple of super stimpacks on the target, wait 10 minutes and AHS7 is as dead as a doornail. Depends on target's HP how many, a super stim does approximately 7-9 HP of damage.

* Try sneaking and blow the target away with a magnum or whatever in one shot. However it requires a high sneak skill.

* Last solution I can come up with is ... send them all to their beloved star father.

Last thing I wanted to add: do NOT save while the timer on the explosive device is still ticking because it corrupts your save game! That's rule number 2, I believe. :P

Ahhh lucky me. I placed a plastiqe explosives one hex away from ahs-7 and that scared the crap out of him lucky for me I was able to leave before the laser walls were turned on. Thank you both for taking the time out of your day to try and help me.
