Mods That Restrict Quicksave/save Feature

Post » Mon Dec 27, 2010 8:32 am

Call me crazy, but are there any mods out there which restrict where you can use Save/Quicksave? I'd love a mod that would only let you save in certain locations, like towns or inns..would make one think twice about barreling into deep dark places.

Certainly easy to do, but I don't know of one off-hand.

That's a very good idea.

I'm gonna give this a try later today. :P

[EDIT]How about also adding player houses to the safe-to-safe locations?

The Location Based Saving System is coming along nicely. I have figured out a way to prevent the player from saving is he is not supposed to. I'm currently at 494 lines of script, and so far the vanilla game is supported. Next, I will add support for SI, then work out a system to figure out whether a cell is an inn or player house etc. so cells added by other mods are supported too.

Every single aspect will customizable via an INI.

Wow you're definitely my hero haha, the mod will be great for role-players, the realistic types and just those who enjoy a bit more of a challenge.

884 lines and counting. The basic stuff is functional, player home detecting algorithm is in testing phase.

This is starting to turn into a complete overhaul of the save system. :P
