The Lone Wanderer is now coming to, and finds himself strapped down to a table, with his effects nearby. His adrenaline bgan t rush as he slowly started to panic until finally, with sheer strength, he pulled free and hurriedly equipped himself. At this moment he feels kind of strange, as his stomach began to gurgle and his head commenced throbbing. something was changing inside of him. Nonetheless, he made his way to the entrance of the facility.

Once outside what happened next was...

Super Mutant Ambush!
Spoiler
...he was met by a large angry crowd of about five or six Super Mutants. As they registered his appearance he then came to his own realization: he now had F.E.V. He threw his head back, as the weight of his new realization came over him, crippling his legs and causing him to fall to his knees.

"Why!" Was all the Wanderer could say as the onslaught of bullets riddles his whole body. There were so many wounds that his body couldn't even comprehend the levels of pain, and his nervous system completely shut down. He fell to the ground, limo, but not yet dead. In mere seconds, though, there was no longer any blood left in his body, and the Lone Wanderer was finished.

As he took his dying breath, he glimpsed two lone numbers on a nearby wall: 87...

Death by Mutation
Spoiler
...he slammed against the hot, dry wasteland air. He then accelerated to a run, which evolved into a stagger due to collapsing lungs. He wasn't sure what was happening to him or why, but he knew his minutes were numbered. He looked down at his arms as the veins began to bulge outwards, and his hue turned a whole new color altogether. Green was rushing through his system, and his body started to glow slightly. The pain was unbearable, and he was now on the ground, writhing in his own agony. He gasped for air, but none came out, he wanted to scream, but he needed to breathe to scream. Slowly, his body became larger and more discolored until he was no longer green, but a radiant yellow. By this time, almost all air and life had been drained from his, and his teeth began to shed into larger canine incisors. The FEV had gone terribly wrong.

At long last, the writhing stopped, and all was still, the glaring sun beat down on a radioactive yellow carcass. He'd never even made it two feet.

Surprise Drop
Spoiler
...he looked out into the open sky, inhaling the grimy atmosphere, and then his stomach began to tingle, bu it was a different feeling from before. This time it felt as if he was....falling!

"Wooooaaaaahhhhh!!!" He screamed, waving his appendages like that of a broken bird, trying to glide its way to safety. The trees and mountains that reaches out as far as the horizon were now blocked by more immediate dad vegetation of sorts. His well armored body got very bruised by many branches on the fall down, and by the time he hit the ground, he wished he was dead. But no, it wasn't the fall that killed him, it was actually that ugly deathclaw that just so happened to be prowling that area at the time.

Rescue Fail
Spoiler
...he was greeted by and Enclave vertibird and many soldiers in T-51b Mk II power armor. They quickly escorted him to the vertibird, which then flew off in a Raven Rocky direction. About thirty seconds in he began to experience some changes in his body, and it wasn't puberty. He began to feel enormous waves of pain and his skin began to crawl, as if something inside of him was clawing itsself out. Then as quickly as it had started, it stopped. He felt the simultaneous injections of both jet and a stimpack. He breathed a sigh of relief and lay his head against the card carbon fiber.

"That was a close one there Doc." Said one of the Enclave officers up front. "If we'd lost you, Col. Autumn would have fired us. After all, we did come all the way out here to get you doctor. And lemme tell you, Super Mutants are some really ugly sons of [censored]es up close." Meanwhile, the Lone Wanderer, who for name sake will be called Jeeves, stared at the soldier dumbfounded. He then realized that they were under the impression that he was the doctor.

"Uh...yes yes these Mutants can be very nasty things. If you guys hadn't come along I'm afraid they would have had their way with me." He said in his best smart person voice. Then all eyes rotated and fixated on his face. After a few seconds of uncomfortable scrutinization, one of the soldiers had an epiphany.

"Hey, you're not the doctor."

"Why of course I am. They just rearranged--"

"Prove it. How many fingers do I have?"

"Well, that's easy, eight and two thumbs." Two days at work with his good old dad taught him that. His dad was a doctor after all.

"No, ten!" The idiot retorted, then pulled out his laser pistol and burned a hole into Jeeves face, who then slumped into the nearby passenger. Now aggravated that a dead body was laying on him, he said to the first officer.

"He was right, [censored]!"

"Oh."
