FO3 GOTY switch to FO3

Post » Wed Dec 29, 2010 4:24 am

My friend loaned me FO3 GOTY edition and wow, it is possibly the best single player game I have ever played! The storyline is great and the amount of detail put into this game is amazing! Unfortunately, I had to give it back to my friend but I'm wishing to purchase the regular FO3 game. Will I be able to use my old saved GOTY files onto the regular game? Any information is greatly appreciated.

You should, you'll just lose the DLC and everything associated with it. I'd actually recommend just getting the GOTY edition.

I think that in order to play the GOTY version of the game you have to actually use the GOTY disc, not just use it to install the DLCs.

Wrong. It works like the two pack CDs that have DLC that just install onto your Xbox360/PoS3/PC
