Fallout AEP7 and AER9 Prop Builds

Hows it goin', Wastelanders!

So a little while back I decided to try my hand at constructing a fan art prop. I'd never tried anything like it before, and had been meaning to for quite awhile. Being a long time Fallout fan, it was sort of the natural choice to make something from the series. I'm actually an amateur luthier (stringed instrument builder) and general contraption maker (articulated back mounted wings, automata, sculpture, etc) and this project was sort of a perfect fit for me to step out of my usual realm and try something new. I also had wanted to work with MDF for a chance (I only ever use solid hardwoods, plywood, etc). Anyways long story short, I made a simplified version of the AER9 and an AEP7.

Pretty basic, but they turned out well I think. Nice and sturdy feeling. The AER9 is about 7-8lbs and the AEP7 is a little less than half of that. I'm going to try a Railway gun and a few other things after my midterms are over. Since you can't seem to post pics in the forum, the link to my site is below, as well as some links to direct pictures. Keep in mind these are slightly simplified versions. Lemme know what you think!

So lemme get this straight, you build props, then sell them to people. Great business. Hey, you you Message me how to do that stuff? I'm 16, I need money, and I'm fascinated with this stuff.

Dude, those are [censored] sweet. I want them. To be on my wall. I remember coming across another guy who did a laser rifle, in fact it's in the fan art post, maybe you want to check it out. Compare. His is pretty awesome too, I think he might have a little more detail though. Still, these are pretty glorious, I personally would like to see a Tesla Cannon. Or. A plasma pistol. Or. A plasma rifle. Or. An Alien Blaster. Or anything that isn't alien of origin(except for the blaster), anyway, I like what you have there.

@Ant1iv3

Well, I make them, and in "theory" I sell them to people. ;) I actually just built the first AER9 for fun. Whenever I make something though, I almost always make multiples in case someone else is interested. Case in point I have three AEP7's sitting on the shelf over my fridge. :)

@yttrium

They ARE for sale. ;) I've seen the other build, it most likely belongs to Harrison Krix (Volpin). His is very detailed, to be sure. I intentionally simplified mine actually, so it would be much quicker to make, easier on time and resources, and highly repeatable. Plus it matches closer to the AEP7 and I originally made them as a set. Thanks for looking! I'm hoping to add a few more weapons from the Fallout repertoire in the next few months. As soon as midterms are over ;P

@Hircine21

Thanks so much! Simply, but effective.
