Ability questions

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 9:07 am

Yes I used the book of H0RSE and the search bar first.....

Q1- How many universal abilities can you use at once?

Q2-How many class specific abilities can you use at once?

So, I know the embargo lifts on Monday but I was thinking of ability combos to put on when I play.

You know, have a laz nade, health buff, self revive, for a medic class and so on........

Passive abilities equal your level + 3 active abilities at once if I remember correctly.

The number of passive abilities you can have equipped at 1 time, depends on your level. This does not necessarily mean that it is equal to your level.

Instead of looking at it as "class specific" and "universal," look at it like "active" and "passive."
You can have up to 3 active abilities equipped at one time, in addition to whatever the amount of passives are (which changes depending on your lvl)

In your example of laz nade, health buff and self revive, they are all active abilities, (abilities you need to trigger to use) so if you equipped them all, they would fill all your slots, leaving only room for passive abilities (which do not take up an ability slot)

Tnx for the correction Capt. I just knew something wasn't right.

There are 50 abilities total iirc. 10 for each class + 10 universal.

Ahem :

Also what really was the point of that last post?

So, others aren't allowed to post replies that bring nothing new to the discussion but you are exempt from this rule? Care to enlighten me why?
You do realise that this makes you sound quite smug and demeaning?

I do it once in a blue moon not for 95% of my posts. Also my intent is not to be smug but point out obvious spam at least in my humble opinion.

By pointing out spam, we're merely spamming. These posts add nothing to a discussion and only derail a thread, like we're doing now. If you feel something is spam, you can always use the report button and we'll check it out. Thanks. :)

And I guess if you have active class-specific abilities these will only take a slot if you use that class.

yes. You will select your abilities for all classes, so when you change class, the abilities are already set.

I really think this whole customization game type was long over due. Everyone of us has been waiting for a game to this degree for awhile and i hope its abilities mech doesn't seem too simplistic. Boarderlands was fun, but it was more of a "play for a weekend" type of game. BRINK is going to be epic. This all seems really cool. I cannot wait for this game to come out.

That cleared it up. Thank you very much. Thanks to everyone else too for posting answers. ^_^
