Although I am a bit iffy about your age Homer, you would have been 20 when you first came into the vault and I don't think they would have put someone of that age in charge, it's just my opinion however

I honestly think that billybob would be a better suited leader, if he's up to it. No offense to Homer, but it does seem like Homer is the only one wanting it. Eh, it's up to you guys to decide cause I'm recon!

I'm thinking Ant1iv3 could be the only squad leader, and just be lightly equipped as Recon. It's due to that whole "There must only be one General on the battlefield." More than one leader would mean different priorities and conflicting orders. Overall it would be more stable and simpler if there's only one top ranked person. I'm sure us Recon will be on the battlefield too when something needs to die. Scouts normally don't travel in groups of four anyways. They usually go out, do their job; then come back.

There could still be a second-in-command of course, who would be appointed by the squad leader based on who he thinks would fit best. And the second-in-command would only be making calls if the squad leader is not present.

Plus being a squad leader isn't much fun:

1.) You're expected to give concise orders all the time.
2.) You can't do any special or more dangerous tasks against the enemy because you have to stay back and direct everyone.
3.) You get blamed when stuff goes wrong.
4.) You have to discipline your soldiers if they step out of line.
5.) You're responsible for any tough calls.

It's not as if being a squad leader makes you a better soldier, it just means you have more responsibilities to abide to!

Excellent points, that's why I wanted you or billybob to be the "second-in-command" cause I've seen billybob Rp and you seem mature enough. In my opinion, as I've been "second-in-command" a fair amount of time, it's quite a pain in the ass. I've had much more fun just being a grunt, but I think Ant1ive should make the decision for you(if anyone) should be second-in-command. And Ant1ive, to make things easier you could change your classification to "Leader" I think we need more infantry per recon/scout anyway. I don't know if we split up often, but just choose a someone, regardless of class, to call the shots when your not around. Make sure their mature enough to handle it, and that way we can get this thing started.

The leader will be determined by the best fighter, as I won't knows who's worth their salt until they kill something. We won't split up until I found that person. I'm working on the actual thread now.
