What attracted you to Brink?

I love it all, but the things that got me interested were the character- and weapon-customization, and, of course, the parkour system. I can wait to fly over the Ark like an urban Tarzan, descending from rooftops to stab a beef-tastic heavy soldier in the back.

Would it be cliche to say that pretty much everything I've heard about Brink has gotten me excited?

Like .. everything. From the insane character/weapon/class customization (beyond most games, let alone FPS's), SMART, art style, emphasis on teamwork, etc.

Such a welcomed change from the usual R&G shooters.

I love the immersion of customization. Even if a game was totally crap but had an amazing customization system, I would probably still buy it. Luckily, Brink has great graphics, what looks like an intense story, parkour, AND lots of guns. Most definitely NOT crap

The customization is what initially pulled me in. I'm a svcker for customizing stuff. And then I saw all of the other awesome stuff, and that's about when I realized that SD had been stalking me, jotting down notes on how to create the perfect FPS for my tastes.

I have to say the thing that brought me to this game was just curiosity but once I started reading more and more about this game the more I loved it: the art style, the team play style, the guns, customization, story, online, and just about everything else that I'm to lazy to type out.

That it stands out for me from the mainstream FPS games and seems to be completely original, played Killzone 2 for 2 years but ive reached my limit on that, I dislike the direction they took with the new Killzone 3, never been interested in COD, cant really get into Bad Company 2. The customization on this game looks absolutely sick aswell :pinch:

I love it all honestly.. my game made in heaven lol.. combines all the great things in a game.. Can't wait for it!!

SMART. It has been a long time since there has been a game released that has focused on movement.

None of the above.

The cinematic trailer pulled me in and before I knew it I was obsessed.

BRINK isn't really "focused" on movement - if it was, then there would only be a Light body to choose - class-based team objective gameplay, promoting teamwork and streamlining the game to be the most fun for the most people is what its focus is on.

What Brink does with movement is fix the stale, outdated movement system and remove the artificial barriers that plague FPS games. The emphasis of movement is there for those who want it, but the main goal of SMART seems to be to make sure players aren't "harassed" by the environment, by getting stuck on things or having other actions interrupted while interacting with it.

Honestly, this is the closest I'll get to Team Fortress 3. Additionally, it improves on TF2 by quite a lot. I miss the large amount of classes, but the different body types and large variety of customization and customizable weapons more than make up for it.

Edit: Not that I expect it to be TF3. I just love TF2 and in my opinion, Brink is the perfect successor to TF2: teamplay, classes, body types, customization, large amounts of weapons and the players won't be obsessed with hats. What's not to love? :P

I think I was presented with the cinematic trailer on YouTube once as an advertisemant before my video. I was intrigued by all the cool stuff (the SMART/parkour especially) and followed up on it at the website. It was awhile ago though; I forget what triggered me to come back and check up on it and find out "ZOMG IT'S NEARLY HERE!!1!111!!" this past week.

I nice refreshing game with new concepts.

-SMART, finally a game that has it right. How many times have you clicked your mouse over and over because it wasn't doing what it was suppose to do... climbing that 3 feet wall ?????

-The class system, what a mix to play with, so many combinations and the results affecting the way the game will play out. Tremendous replaying value, different results with every match.

-The customization, the odds are no one will look alike. How personal is that?

Overall this is going to be a blast of fun to play.

All we need are bigger PC servers, like 16 vs 16. 8 vs 8 is just way too small. Give us the choice to go bigger for some real crazy battles!

the maps really arent big enough for 32 players maybe if they made a dlc with bigger maps and 16 vs 16 option i think that would work fairley well
