Non-combat related fun

Post » Sun Jan 09, 2011 10:16 pm

I had heard from gameinformer that there are non-combat related things you can do in town if you get bored of fighting, does anyone here know what those things are?

Gameinformer usually doesn't do back to back features of the same game. Skyrim may only be mentioned once, and that would be in the whats on your mind thing

Trow a bunch of gold on the floor and watch a bunch of people fight over it.

Smithing (possibly), Crafting, woodcutting, for starters.

We'll probably see some form of Firemaking or fletching (due to woodcutting), and we'll likely be able to mine to some extent as smithing and crafting could both make use of ores and other materials obtained from mining.

And cooking yes.

Does that mean it will be like runescape? It could easily fall into a tedious trap with those skills.

I'm REALLY hoping for gambling, in some or multiple forms.

You can cook, farm, mine, smith, and a few other things. Not yet confirmed whether or not these things will have a bonus with it / effect skills or just be something random to do.

I know fun right? <_<

It would be awesome if you can buy yourself a mine and hire laborers for your mining company and sell it to smiths and towns.

I'm trying this.

Dance my puppets dance!

You can always go potion making, crafting, thieving, sneaking into people's houses, listening to rumors.....

I TOTALLY agree. I would love to be able to buy a farm or mine or a piece of land to choose to build a farm or house of your choosing on. Hiring labors also a good idea. Grant it it shouldn't be cheap or easy, but I think if done right it could really add to the game making you more a part of the world instead of JUST a hero.

I agree, gambling would be a really cool non-combat related fun thing to do in Taverns.

I'm REALLY hoping we can hit on the barmaids. doesn't need any kind of interaction other than that, but it would be fun, considering the personnality of my character (which stayed the same since morrowind lol)

I sincerely hope not. I do love role play, but I'd like the game to NOT be sixualized, especially with the hero. It can really ruin the more fulfilling parts of the game.

There was a Morrowind mod were you got your own mine to run, if you play MW you should check it out.
