Birthsigns : Steed
Attributes : Personality / Will Power

I'd personally remove speechcraft. The ability to use the speechcraft mini game is easy enough even at a relatively low score. An issue I see with you is leveling too few combat related skills and therefore being out leveled by the mods. I'd also, personally and especially for hand to hand, go with The Warrior as a birth Sign. To further ensure the enemies don't level above you. You also have very few skills that use willpower and you also have stealth as a specialization despite only having security. I'd likely do something like this..

Race: Redguard
Gender: Male
Class: Custom
Birth Sign: Atronach
Attributes: Strength/Willpower
Spec: Combat

Major Skills: Block, H2H, Heavy Armor, Armorer, Mercantile, Alteration, Restoration

This keeps you with the twist and interesting approach. You start out with a lot of Magicka. Willpower governs Alteration and Restoration. Your main focus is on combat but with some supportive abilities. On top of this while you don't have the warrior or the steed you have quite an interesting quirk. You don't fear mages. There's a good 50% chance that a mage's spell will be absorbed as you charge into their face and pummel them to death. Definitely not your typical adventurer. Of course it's up to you.

If your primary attack is going to be hand to hand I'd drop block as a major you need a weapon equipped for the shield to work. At journeyman you get a hand to hand bonus with that but even as a minor skill without combat as a specialization I think it is fairly quick to get. Even with very fast moving characters I end up blocking a lot.
I would take armorer instead if you want 2 endurance skills as a major, or restoration since the character looks like it would level up very quick and randomly and some healing spells would come in handy, no pun intended. With hand to hand I've noticed a lot of NPC's will block I get a giggle when power attacking with a punch into their shield and they fall over dead but an absorb health spell could really turn around a lot of fights in hand to hand against a defensive opponent.

You can block with your fists. My hand to hand character does it all the time. You can even do the whole "Block, counter hit, enemy stumbles." as well.

Id go with an Orc if you want to rock Heavy armor and Hand to Hand, but you seem to want to go off the beaten path.

Yep, but I've noticed I take more damage blocking without a shield. They also tend to offer the best armor protection for their weight which I find important with heavy armor until you get it maxed out or around there.

With a low block skill and not using a shield it doesn't prevent damage at all but you can block out more damage by having a higher level blocking skill with one of the perks. For this reason, I'd suggest blocking as a major for a hand to hand user so it doesn't start out completely useless (blades going right through the block entirely.)

Personally for this kind of character build you are trying to get sorted, i would have this

Race Orc (but if you want redguard)
Birthsign: Atronach or Warrior, warrior for boosts, or atronach for absorbtian of spells
Class: Custom combat
Hnad to hand, heavy armour, athletics, alteration, Block, Armourer, Acrobatics
Strength and endurance too

I would'nt ever use this i find h2h in this game boring after a while,i have just made my hopeful long term character shaman, if you want to see the build reply and ask :)
