If you could write books or working for The Black Horse Courier, make a diary and having a job. Would you?

A journal is nice, but sounds like you could just pick up a note book in your room and keep logs there.

I voted Yes but only because I would like to keep a diary in my house or just with me that I can later check out to see how my my past experiences have been like.

I would like to have a journal, especially if we could export the text file, it can be fun to wright down your experience form your character point of view and save it for future reading. Not particularly important feature, but I would like it being in game :) It is much more immersive than keeping a notebook nearby.

Always wondered why you coudn't write in morrowind/oblivion.
There's ink. There's quills. There's parchment.

Now that i think of it... spent an hour in morowind trying to use the quill and ink...

I can't vote,b ut your journal should be empty unless you write in it (but then people would complain), I'd like it that way personally. I'm strongly considering buyign a journal and writing in it and never looking in my in-game journal,

Also, you should be able to sell your novels.

Sure it'd give the citizens of Skyrim more to talk about.

I would have to agree. Selling the books could be a cheap and all too easy way to make money. However it's still would be a nice option if you like to role play. I would like to write books and letters, and say reverse pickpocket it into someone's pocket, or put it in their homes. Threatening people, love notes, ect... I do see it possible to have a page requirements if you want to write for the black horse courier that way you might make an extra buck, AND you'll likely make it something interesting since it'll get passed around and posted places. I think it's overall workable.

It would be a serious pain to key things in letter by letter with the 360 or the ps3, but I'm sure you pc lovers out there would love this. Ya, I could by a keyboard for my console, I could also keep that money for the game itself. >.> Anyway, I see no reason not to be able to. So why not. How big of documents we talking though? And would there be a set number of how many you could make and save?

I'd love to be able to write hundred-plus page books (like fan-fics) in-game and to hear npcs react, " was amazing!" even if it was dull.

Write notes or additional entries into your journal, sure. Write books or for the Black Horse Courier (or equivalent), not so much. No one is going to read it in a single player game but the person who wrote it. So what's the point?

Yes! I really enjoy Kyoma's Journal mod for Oblivion. It really added RP factor.

Also, you should be able to sell your novels.

Agreed, a neat way to RP an author.

Me too! And then maybe you'd just see your book littered around places after you sell/publish/print it.

Maybe the price you sell it for varies on the word-count. And they have to be real words.
