Away for years...

Post » Sun Jan 16, 2011 3:08 pm

I've been away from the community a long time now and my mod folder is old ,,, very old. Apart from time to time making a quick peek at this forum from a lyb I wasn't around. So I looked around for a while and realised I missed much out. And decided to aks you, dear forum members, politely. What is actual "state" of morrowind, mods and anything that my be useful. Tips, pointers, links ... anything is wholehearthly appreciated.

And what about the community? How does it feel to be member of the community right now? I miss many old friends here. How is the new generation community faring? I see the forum changed a bit in graphical sense. But how are the people? :D

If you have not yet seen Pluto's http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1060141-mod-recommendations-for-new-players/, it's a great place to get reacquainted with the state of Morrowind.

Thank you. A up to date mod recommendation list is very welcome.

My hardware improved by the years. I'm still using an old script extented but I am not sure if there is any other external application to buff up your morrowind experince.

The Morrowind Graphics Extender includes the latest version of MWSE so you won't have to load it separately if you get that. I don't know how long you've been gone but if you remember MGE... It's a whole lot more advanced now! :D

I am not really a person who can reply well, but isn't that the game these days; the state of Morrowind. The game is evolved and branched, there are levels of details I am still seeking to understand. Mods I love I am not even using yet to explore the question, what is the state now? I see that to be dynamic, and individual, that to pawn a disliked trait of windows, Morrowind is simply My Morrowind. I have Vivec city peeled like an artichoke, and Haldenshore. Both Balmora and Suran sprawl, though just one modification of Ivy adds to that latter, so the vision of it all is made better. Tiles are reoworked, and truly I'd love to see your old folder, since nothing I am doing is really new but just better then my last. So, for me, better then hoping for an assured state of Morrow-being, I am trying to develop a core of expansions, I need visit Suran in the TESCS to allow the Gardeners of Morrowind sensible entry. And I have no idea is that is even current. Anyway I have yet to use MGE, since I want basic art and thriving towns. Just getting to the installation of some of the many thousands of mods is time consuming. Trees, yes, I need them in My Morrowind but do not know the best state of them, only up to Vurts, and wow, back to day one. What is the state of trees in Morrowind? I want to know.

But Today I hope to fix the graphics on MJY's 'a desk 1', which I recreated into two containers. I really did not like that the in game 'desk' had top level drawers but it only opened 'desk'.

Oh, MCA has a new version, 6.1. thought to say

I am little taken aback by your senseful post. I see the forum community of Morrowinf stayed healthy and is truly a place that warms up your hearth when coming back.

Arcimaestro Anteres! What a honor. I use your BIG mod 3.5.7. Or a revised version of it I think ( I deleted some data via ME and tweaked and added some thing of my own for personal use only of course ). To use topics filtered by classes to get more use from the population of morrowind was a genius idea.
People embraced or enslaved by vampire embrace were now of use!

You'll probably go through a week-long phase of lurking around PES for mods you fancy, installing, testing, judging, and repeating before finalizing your favorite set of mods.

Many people find that the http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php helps MW run a bit better. (use after installing the Code Patch)

Does that help even on systems with less than 4GB of RAM? Or is it really for 64-bit systems only?

32-bit systems can't see more than 4 gigs of installed RAM, so that patch wouldn't help even if it could be installed.

Excuse me Jac, but you're wrong about that, because Win 32bit can only show 3 Gb RAM memory and not 4Gb RAM.

I've 4 Gb RAM my self and it shows 3,25 Gb RAM when I press "WinKey+Pause/Break" buttons.

3 Gb is still less than 4, so I was right. :meh:
