[relz] BTB's Game Improvements 3.0

Post » Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:04 am

Hey, I'm liking the mod, but I have one problem: the settings esp makes the unarmored skill better, which makes all the telvanni guards naked

I, um... have no clue what to say about that.

Hey BTB, when are you going to update the Morrowind Code Patch commentary on your site? I'm getting tired of seeing the "256 Map expansion" heading. There's around 74 new options now! You can also look at the MCP gallery at TESNexus for some illustratory images.

I would be grateful for a quick walkthrough on how to compatibil-ize this with GCD. Someone mentioned deleting a certain script earlier in the thread; what is it called and which plugin is it found in?

Yeah, I've been really lazy about that.

I was going to update my site after updating my mod, which got stuck because going through all of the enchantments is SUCH a slag >.<

And to the above post, you're looking to delete the level-up birthsign remover script from the "character" plugin. It's really easy to find the script - it's the first one on the list.

I noticed an error while checking the BTB - Character.esp in the CS. The "eye of legolas" spell effect is set to fortify the Acrobatics skill instead of the Marksman skill. That's the only problem I noticed, thanks for creating this and sharing it with all of us. :^)

D'oh! >.<

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll include it in version 4.0, if I ever manage to get it released. I finally broke down and ripped the CS CD to a .mds file so I can use it on my laptop at work, if that's any indication of how slow this is going.

I'm using the "full set" of BTB changes with GCD and I got some kind of bug. All my cast chances became zero. Needless to say my character isn't an obtuse Nord, screaming "A-a-a-argh! Mo-o-o-ore!" after every kill, who really can't cast anything.

I can't recall what triggered (as new characters are perfectly fine) this nor I'm sure that it has to do anything with BTB Game Improvements, at least directly, but I wasn't able to find anything about this problem in GCD thread.

Off hand, I'd say that it's likely related to GCD, mainly because I don't see how it could possibly be related to anything else in your list (including my mod).

Finally going to give this a try. How's 4.0 coming along?

Edit: Awww... Seems that the Spell part conflicts with Rocker's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6621 and New Elemental Damage Effects. Your mod changes the base costs and the spellmaking/enchanting availability, and those mods change the Casting Effects.

Is there any way I could get them to work together? Would merging them in the CS work without issues? If not, would having the visual mods loading later, overwriting your changes to the spells, screw up the balance?

Just a heads up. Because you were awesome enough to include all the spell changes in a txt file I simply copied those into the Spectacular Sorcery and NEDE esps, so now all should be good. :)

It should be done this weekend. It's a huge update, and it's taken me a LOT longer than I initially planned.

I'm prolly going to lock this thread and make a new one when I'm done.

Glad to see that the effort put into my documentation was not in vain.

Hell, if you want, I'll post the version history for my upcoming release so you can make all the the updates to it, too.

Would be nice, I didn't know 4.0 was this close. :D

Can you also release a GCD compatible version of the character plugin with 4.0? So without that birthsign script that apparently causes issues? I can easily do it myself though.

so does that line need to be taken out of GCD's Character esp or BTB ? because I would dearly love to use both
PS I have really enjoyed reading through the whole of this forum, no flaming, literate discussion, Iv'e enjoyed the ride Beebee

Glad to oblige :)

By the way... there's a new thread now http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1117777-relz-btbs-game-improvements-40/

I actually made it without realizing you either can't self-lock threads in this forum, or I just don't know how. Either way... moderators, please?

You can request a thread lock by clicking on the Report button under your avatar on the left-hand frame - that will allow you to send a message to a moderator asking them to lock the thread. Use your last post to send the report. B)
