The most hilarious thing just happened.

I was exploring "Tamriel Rebuilt" with my Argonian fighter, and no-one told me that the Fighters' Guild in Firewatch was a different one from the one in Vvardenfell. I just casually walked in, pvssyd with all of them, then found their supply chest. I used their hammers to fix all my weapons and drank one of their health potions.

Suddenly, YOUR CRIME HAS BEEN REPORTED and twenty armored brutes are ripping my limbs off. >.<

If it's any consolation, I've done that myself. Even more embarrassingly, in my next game I went and accidentally did it again

There isn't any fast travel but if you use Almsivi intervention in Sadrith Mora you end up in Ranyon-Rhun, which is nice. I did once make a quick mod which added fast travel between Firewatch and Tel Mora, and between Helnim and Sadrith Mora, but never released it because I didn't think anyone would care (puls I couldn't be bothered to change the masters). I'll upload it if you want.

EDIT: Oh yeah, that Argonian in Mournhold can transport you to Firewatch as well.

Swim? Haven' t you heard of this thing called "water walking" or "levitation"?

If you want instant transportation, go talk to Effe Tei in Mournhold.

Levitation costs money (and I dont like wasting money). Either to buy a good scroll which doesnt take forever and lasts the time it needs to or to train a lot.
Water Walking is the same thing.

Anyways, thanks :) Effe Tei and Almsivi Intervention from Sadrith Mora. Got it.

EDIT: Oh, and if you want you can upload that mod of yours :)

There's also a mod that adds transportation to the mainland from the customs & excise office in Seyda Neen.

I usually end up making a CE Levitate item at some point anyway, but that's just me. I like to see Tre-bonehead's face when he goes to face me in the Arena and I drop an Atronach on him from on high.

If you don't want go to Grand Council Chamber in Ebonheart, but still use an instant transportation you can use the recall spell if you have a marked spot on Vvardenfell. Remember the recall spell or any instant transportation spell doesn't work if you're in Clockwork City you must use http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tribunal:Unique_Items#Barilzar.27s_Mazed_Band for an instant teleportation.

At the Balmora Guild of Mages you can buy a water walking spell very cheaply; it costs 5 or 6 magicka and lasts like 60 seconds. That's long enough so that you only need to cast it once or twice in order to run from the island to the mainland. It's also a simple enough spell that by the time you make it over to that part of the island, it should be a breeze to cast, even for a warrior or stealth type character.

An addendum... you must not have played very far into the game if you're worried about money. I spent 10,000 coins just the other day on a play-through for training, bribing, and armor repairs over the course of a few hours, and still had over 100,000 left. I never even sell anything that's ebony/adamantium/glass/dwemer/daedric, either, so all my cash is from "grunt level" items. Meldor over in Balmora has enough weapons and armor to outfit all of Balmora three times over, if it were to scale. That's a lot of resting in order for his cash supply to respawn...
