Volendrung

Post » Tue Jan 25, 2011 2:39 pm

I have noticed that the artifact Volendrung have been only somewhat if not at all usefull to the player. In MW it didn't have any enchantments and in OB the enchantment was wasted with a low dmg rating. So I hope that artifacts that are suposed to be powerfull actually is powerfull.
Thoughts?

Volendrung sure looked badass in Morrowind though! And yeah, it will be the perfect weapon for my Nord barbarian in Skyrim :)

Well, it'll have the power to kill dragons, so probably pretty badass.

Please explain. Is that written in the lore somewhere?

Umbra was cool in Morrowind. The orc who posessed it was super bad ass and the blade itself was unique. Hopefully it returns, but is more like it was in MW than OB.

The orc's story was also so sad...
Poor Umbra.

On topic, Volendrung was pretty powerful in Oblivion wasn't it? Paralyze... drain health.
Maybe it can be even more powerful? I'm not sure.
Perhaps make it bigger.... hehe

Yes it had a decent enchantment, but due to the low damage(for a warhammer) it was useless when you got your forst ebony warhammer(appears first on lvl 16)

I loved a mod I had for Umbra in Oblivion, it dropped the Soul Trap effect and got more powerful with every human soul you claimed with it. Any "Named" NPC such as ones in cities gave more power than the random bandit or guard, it was sick.

As far as Volendrung I haven't ever seen it, but I don't do too many daedric shrines.
