3ds Max 2010 Crashing Exporting .nif

Post » Thu Jan 27, 2011 1:05 am

Just looking for a solution here. I've been following this guide: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/From_3dsmax_to_Oblivion_CS
And have followed it completely. However when I go to export 3ds Max always crashes.
I can export fine when I don't add collision detection (using the method found on the above linked page) and import them fine into oblivion.
It is only when I add this collision detection that it crashes.

I've been scouring the internet trying to find other methods of adding collision detection but just can't find any.

Any help is appreciated. (whether it be a solution to the above, or another way to add collision detection)

It's tutorials fault. Mad mole was having problems with it exporting collision as well... for a start, I believe the whole nifprops utility is not useful, and the devs were migrating away from that method for some time. Use the niftools bhkrigidbody helper and bhkrigidbody modifer combo instead.
And WHY add an UPB NiStringExtraData node? erm..

anyway follow saidenstorms collision tutorial, still works. found on his googlepages
