I reinstalled Fallout with my friends disc and I took the old fallout into another folder, in case I may need something. So I had the brand new Fallout 3 in My Games folder, and it worked fine with the disc. As soon my friend left (and took the disc) I tried to play without disc. The same problem happened again! First it said about some number 5360 or so missing from xlive.dll, and I noticed theres no such thing like xlive.dll in the FO3 folder. I dragged xlive.dll out of the old Fallout 3 folder (that one in another place) and now when I tried to launch the new one with the xlive.dll, the hourglass appeared for a while but still nothing happens. FOMM launch says "could not inject dll".
Is this all about that xlive.dll, anyone?
//Edit, it really seems that the game can't be played without disc, but how cant it be, 'cause I've played without disc since I lost it. I found the damn disc but it was broken by full of scratches. Should I just buy a new one and play with that disc?
//E2: Readed some forums and someone said downloading and installing this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=05013300-5D14-4DC9-9145-991EA1B8E4B0&displaylang=en would fix the problem, but those damn idiots have deleted that file -___-. Is there any other patch like this, or new versions of this etc?
