Sneaky Killer Build

Post » Mon Jan 31, 2011 11:11 pm

This is my future build:

Race: Redguard
Birthsign: Warrior
Skills: Blade, Athletics, Acrobatics, Sneak, Security, Block, Speechcraft

My character is kind of a warrior and kind of a stealth person. He doesn't any armor to be as fast as possible.
I like using swords and I like using stealth so why shouldn't I just do this hybrid build. Sometimes he uses running sometimes sneak, it depends on the situation.
What do you say of this?

I'm worried about you advancing too quickly and running into level up issues. I'd remove Speechcraft for Marksmanship and I'd remove security for illusion. If you advance high enemies end up with better stats. If your sneak ends up behind due to the fight illusion can apply a low level chameleon to aid the stealth so you can keep up the play style more. This is imo. Oh, I'd also remove acrobatics for armorer. No sense in having both. Again, you'd level too quickly with both.

Hmm... Marksmanship isn't coming to my build. I don't like to be archer in this game BUT I could say that maybe you're right. Maybe I'd level up too quickly. Hmm... What about these skills:

- Blade
- Block
- Athletics
- Armorer
- Illusion
- Sneak
- Security

I really like to have Security in my build so I leave it to there. But Illusion sounds good and Armorer could be nice. I haven't tried it before so let's try.

In that case that looks good. The main reason I removed security is because I'm pretty decent at the lock picking mini game. Plus it's pretty easy to use with the Skeleton key. However, if Security fits your concept go with it! Either way the above build looks great.

Yeah, thanks. And what do you sat about that I have no armors?

I think you should keep acrobatics, why have armourer with no armour?? yeh maybe for weapons but you should keep acrobatics, so...

Blade
Sneak
Illusion
Athletics
Acrobatics
Security

i just got to journeyman illusion about half hour ago, it's now 55. i just got to arcane university with my shaman :) and i made 2 spells, calm up to level 15 for 10 secs, and frenzy up to level 15 for 10 secs, so i calm them down, then make them kill their own allies whilst i throw in destruction spells, so illusion is GREAT to have, i never had it before this now i'm happy i have

P.S: the funniest thing to do is calm an enemy next to a cliff or some stairs, crouch behing them then schock spell they fly lol.

your build should be fun :)

Ha. Didn't notice that. In that case I strongly recommend you remove something for armor. Probably Athletics.

Your original build is actually pretty good for levelling. I don't know what people are talking about, if you play without using much speechcraft, and don't use acrobatics unless you have to, you would mostly level from Blade and Athletics which is slow, and Security, which is better as a minor but it you want for roleplay it won't hurt you to much. I have some characters like this, sort of like a Rogue, or Waghalter type. What I like to do is get a bunch of Strength and Blade bonuses, and go get Umbra asap, then you can get pretty good at one hit crits with a sneak blade attack.
