Fallout 1, 2 & 3 story.

Just wondering if I have to play Fallout 1 and 2 to understand the 3rd, or does Fallout 3 have a story line of its own?

You won't need to have played 1 and 2 to understand the story, or the world, of Fallout 3. It's not a trilogy or anything like that.

Ah, OK nice :) I'm buying it then! :D So much hype around it, thought I might give it a try.
