Are there certain dungeons that have higher chances of chests containing gems? I'm trying to find diamonds and I am level 7.

I'm pretty sure that due to loot not being hand-placed and mostly random, that the gems found in chests, are too random.
I could be wrong though; and there might in fact be certain places to aquire diamonds - maybe shops?

From my experience, all gems except for those out in the open, are random.

Yes it’s random but I guess dungeons with monsters or animals are the best place to look.
Has not checked the levelled lists just my feeling.

I think you can find one at Roland's Cabin east of Imperial City, just north of the road to Cheydinhall. I accidently nicked it off his table when I was there =)

... on a less nerdy "oh my God I've memorized the guard speech"-note, I've found more than a few gems for sale at stores (Jensine's and Thoronir's, at least) and in Mages Guilds. Some houses also have them as decoration, if you're not too opposed to stealing... Otherwise, you can find them in random loot.

Ok, so somewhere within all those "nerdy" quotes, I think I should go to monster dungeons and some shops and/or houses to find gems. Other than that it is random loot. Thanks lol!
