30 is the max. You can't go any higher.

By level 30 it's little use to continue levelling anyway, most skills you use should be 100 or close to and with almost perfect your attributes is 9.
However it's still more areas to explore :)

you mean finish the main story line? Or finish the entire game?

Fallout NV isn't a sequel. In other words, there won't be any spoilers if that's what you're worried about. It's about like morrowind vs oblivion in that regard. I recommend just playing NV, and then go back to fallout and play it when you want. I prefer to take in the scenery and enjoy the game at a casual pace. Rushing through games kills a lot of the fun, IMO. Anyway, just some food for thought.

There are mods that deal with the level 30 cap (changing it to 40, for example), in case you are interested in that. Just check out fallout3nexus or similar sites. Personally, I like gaining points and leveling, regardless of any real benefits. :)

I want to ginish the whole game. I have got all the add on's and finished them well almost done it. Kinda stuck with one of the quest from point lookout. Have to find the dunwich building in the wasteland's to do something with that knife. The map keep's taking me somewhere else but i'll find it. I wish i could play it more then i am but i also have a life so i can't haha. I only play on weekend's and that might only be a few hour's. I like do pretty much everything in Fallout 3 before i go to NV cause if i don't finish F3 and go to FNV then i wont go back to F3. Hehe. I know FNV has a whole new story but i just want to get F3 done first. I have the collector's FNV and havnt open the game yet. I don't like to rush through a game like to do everything first :) i have xbox so can i still get mods for it to raise the xp point's?

you mean the book that is to be destroyed at dunwich? if so that building is at the extreme southwest of the game map, almost due west of warrington train yard.

no mods for the xbox, sigh.

Its a glitch, sometimes the markers will appear in the middle of the map. Next to a school or something? I'm in the process of doing this quest as well, and that's where my markers are located anyways. But I know where I'm supposed to go so, its not that big of a deal.
