Morrowind in the Second Era:

Post » Sat Feb 05, 2011 2:57 am

Well, I'm hoping to get an RP up and running where the Empire is pushing it's boundaries into Morrowind and attempting to settle there and assimilate the Dunmer into their culture during the Four-Score War when Tiber Septim attempted to unite all of Tamriel under one banner.

But I have questions, does anyone know what state the Dunmer were in? I know that by this time the Nords had been repelled by the alliance of the Chimer and Dwemer, which then turns to the battle of Red Mountain, the death of Indoril Nerevar, the disappearance of the Dwemer, the changing of the Chimer to the Dunmer etc. etc. but by this stage did they have the Great Houses? Or something alot less civilised, like were they more similar the Ashlander tribes we see in Morrowind or did they have both the Great Houses and Ashlanders?

So some general information on this specific time of Tamriel would be much appreciated :)

The Four-Score War was much earlier, at the end of the First Era, under Reman II and Reman III. The last year of the war is well covered in 2920.

The Tribunal Temple and the Great Houses were well established at that time, and Dagoth Ur was still sleeping and presumed dead. The strength of the Ashlanders, who had been forces to reckon with in earlier times, is not known.

Late in the Second Era, Tiber Septim annexed Morrowind without bloodshed, concluding a treaty with Vivec on terms favorable to both sides and avoiding a fight that the Legions really didn't want.
