I wonder what we really contribute

Post » Tue Feb 08, 2011 10:29 am

Does anyone here really believe we can contribute anything to the game at this stage in the development? I mean think about it they've been working on this game for about 5 years I'm sure there is very few things anyone here could post that they haven't thought of and if there does happen to be something that they might hear and think "WOW that sounds great we'll add it" do you think they'd really have the time to implement it?

At this stage, nothing. Stuff we said after Oblivion and Fallout 3 did seem to matter, though.

I dunno. I'm no game developer, but I suspect that right now they're just doing the finishing touches to the game. Then they'll examine it for game-breaking bugs, take care of packaging and logistics and stuff like that.

No, I doubt most people who post stuff up think that.
The reason we do this is because we do not know much about Skyrim's features and we just like to speculate and discuss it with other TES fans.

The things we say now and immediately after Skyrim comes out will have an effect on Elder Scrolls VI.

The period between 2006-2008 was when they took our ideas.

I expect they listen to the general concensus, but it's not like they hire people to just scour the forums for good ideas. If ninety percent of people hate level scaling, they'll remove it. If I suggest something really amazing right now, with no real following, they won't care or probably even know. But just in case some developer does care, and on the off chance that the game isn't practically done by now, they should definitely expand on Hermaeus Mora, because he is awesome and deserves it. Also they should put me in the game. Not my character, but me. I'm really cool and belong in Skyrim. But no. I think that they probably made changes by popular demand, but nothing detailed, and not recently.

That and I am making a list of things I like that I might try to mod in post release. Right now there is little known about Skyrim and its kinda letting my imagination run wild.

Think about it this way. All the problems people posted in the oblivion forums they probably took that into consideration. Its there game let them design everything but im sure they look at the old posts in oblivion to see what everyone complained.

Nothing much, this forum is a way to pass the time, nothing more. And to talk to other fans about the things you like, or express your concerns, simply because otherwise we'll drive out friends and family crazy! :)
