Khajiits: a qwiuck Q

Post » Fri Feb 11, 2011 1:02 pm

What is the race of Khajiit in daggerfall? Ohmes? In daggerfall and arena are these the same race of Khajiit? if not, what's the one in Arena?

Sorry if this has been answered already. I made a search and was unable to answer myself.

Thanks!

Ohmes are like tatooed woodelves. The ones in Daggerfall are the Ohmes-raht I believe

Don't know. I think so, since those were also very human-like. If it's human looking, it's going to be an Ohmes-raht.

Well, good old wiki describe the one from Arena as http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit#Ohmes as they look like woodelves, as Hellmouth mention.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit#Ohmes-raht for Daggerfall I assume as well.

Thanks! Wish they would show multiple sub-species per game. It's kinda ridicules that out of the whole area you are in each game you only come across one species.

Looking at the design of the khajiit in Arena, I feel they're closer to the Ohmes-raht, since they don't really look that small(er) as the woodelves.

Heres the khajiits in Arena. The ones in daggerfall look very similar.

True, can't argue with that.

What I find particularly ironic is how they mention in several older lore sources that the Ohmes (and I guess Ohmes-Raht to some extent) are the most common subspecies of Khajiit in the other provinces due to their visual appeal towards man and mer. Don't know why Morrowind and Oblivion are full of the more bestial species, then. I guess for distinction.

In MW, I can see the more beastlike being there because of a dunmer's hatred towards furries. The more beastly the thing is, the more you really don't have to give a 2 cents about because it's not even merish/human/w.e.

As for OB, they probably wanted something no so human looking to have some distinguishable difference between the other races (har).

Actually I attribute Oblivion's due to Bethesda being too lazy to do different race meshes. Seriously, your facial animation slider thing is cool and all, but the Argonians look like cut Star Wars characters and the Khajiit look like furries. Even moreso.

True. I do like the DF argonians though.
