With this whirlwind of posters that are new to this corner of the forum, many questions are being asked. Many of these are about download and installation issues. Some have been commentary about the game. Other questions will arise about game-play issues. A little effort by Original Posters to clarify what they are hoping for in response will go a long way towards everyone getting the help, support and encouragement that they seek.

Overly generic title threads may gain a lot of views, but few useful replies. I, for one, can't advise anyone on installation issues. I can tell you how to maximize the power of the Destruction skill your character has.

Good idea making this thread

My problem is a technical one, my mouse doesn't seem to connect with the game. I got it to work but I can't click anything to be exact.

The game starts up, you get the Bethesda logo (which I am able to click away), then you have to start a new game which I can do by pressing S but when selecting a homeland it does seem that I should be able to use the mouse.


Edit: Never mind, find out how to manually auto lock the mouse with ctrl+F10

If you're in windowed mode you can try to fix that by going to fullscreen by hitting Alt-Enter. Or you could try hitting Crtl-F10 to lock the mouse to the screen.

EDIT: Ahah, I see you found that on your own.

I have a problem of my own - when I get to the map where you pick where you're from, once I click the game stops and the screen goes to black, saying:

Daggerfall has encountered an internal error at 0.
The error reported was: Code 216 not found in
Exiting...

I'm having that problem too, Moon. I'm going to uninstall/reinstall and see if that fixes things.

Yep, it did. I don't know if the whole freaking game will work but at least I'm past the select race screen. MoonstalkerZ, uninstall and reinstall and it should work. I also redownloaded....

One final thing: I didn't copy the contents of the DFCD Arena 2 folder to the DAGGER Area 2 folder for the movie playback. That might have been where the problem was.
