Armors

How they will be? I mean, separate pieces (like in Morrowind: equip a chest; equip a right pauldron, right gauntlets, left shoulder, etc) or like in Oblivion (equip a chest including equip shoulders) ?

I'm hoping for the Morrowind system, but I wouldn't get bent out of shape if it was like Oblivion.

I prefer the Morrowind style with all the mixing and matching you could do. I imagine it will probably be more Oblivionesque though.

I have seen lots of topics on this, and nothing that has confirmed anything. I haven't had the chance to read the Game Informer article yet though.

This is what I hope for. Clothing under armor or clothing layers. Starting with undergarments, I would like them to be changeable, but not removable without a mod. I would like a slot for a right sock/stocking, and a left sock/stocking. I would like two separate slots for right and left bracelets, gloves, or other accessories. Obviously a slot for shirts, but maybe one for undershirts too, and a slot for pants. I would like to see a separate slot for masks that differ from the one for hats, hoods, accessories and helmets. The armor should layer over clothing like it did in Morrowind, so the the cuirass would sit on top of the shirt. Greaves also sit on top of clothing as well as separate right and left pauldrons. Boots and shoes should share a slot because I don't think that any armor usually requires shoes to be worn inside. Boots and shoes need to have separate right and left slots. Also bracers should go over some gloves, but for the most part should replace gloves and bracelets. Robes go over clothing and perhaps some armor, but not sure if I would like it to be like Morrowind or not in that regard.

I want to emphasize that I want asymmetric armor and clothing options in the next game for those days I feel like Sheogorath, or something.

I am a realist so at the very most I expect Morrowind style, and at the least Oblivion style. I wouldn't expect Fallout style at all though.

I'd like the Morrowind system, but I don't know if I'd be massively dissapointed if it was like Oblivion.

I don't care so much whether it's oblivion or morrowind style, although pauldrons would be cool. But just "Ebony Pauldon" that you could equip on either side like a ring, not "Left Ebony Pauldron" and "Right Ebony Pauldron". It would be beyond annoying and frustrating to find 3 left pauldrons in a row. I want http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1157226-i-want-real-armor-depth though.

What I do want is some light armor that is suitable for stealth characters. It svcked that my evil sneaky assassin was wearing bright green or gold armor at the end of the game.

At the very least, I'd like as many slots as Morrowind, though with separate slots for each boot instead of them being combined. I wouldn't be devastated if they implemented something similar to Oblivion, but I would be a bit disappointed.

More slots is always a good thing. It would be nice if you could change the state of some articles, like hoods up or down, or visors. The ability to add or remove armor slots via the modding tools would be a very welcome bonus.

I don't know if any of you have played Way of the Samurai 3, but the armor customization is ultimate.
Once you buy an accessory such as a shoulder pad You can rotate, resize, position (coordinates) in pretty much any way you want.
You can tinker with it until it looks good (ie prevent clipping). Just as an example of the power I took a mask and put it on the back of the characters head and i made one shoulder pad and gauntlet large on one side of his body and small on the other. I put a fishing rod on top of his head like an antennae and shrunk a sting of drums down around his neck like bead necklase. This all worked flawlessly. It has a weight system imposed so you can only have a certain amount of items on you.

Here's a video of it... You can't really see the modifying of the accessories but if you go to around 5:40 after he goes in to edit the halo you can see all the options.
Here's the vid:

If Skyrim had this oh man.... it would be ultimate....

EDIT: this video is much better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2s-UTFN_z8

I would be fine with an Oblivion system as long as there was much more variety of styles.

I would like to see an improved version of morrowind. TES is all about new big and dangerous ideas to me. So something like what N.H. said. That's what I want.
