how about a fallout game were you are trying to rebuild structure. like trying to rebuild power and roadways by finding old trucks and tools and planes and rebuilding them to use in the game while also fighting off mutants and others. what about rebuilding towns or starting new ones. so many ideas so little time.

It doesn't appeal to me and as Gabriel said it feels very sims like and implementing a story that would be interesting and engaging would be difficult.

I had an idea for an infrastructure fallout RPG campaign once. It was going to be based around the "Iron Brahmin", a railroad being built by the NCR to help push their brand of civilisation through Northern California. The Players would be on the key work gang dealing with opportunist raiders, unfriendly local warlords, negociating with landowners, etc.

Rebuilding I think makes a great potential theme to centre a fallout RPG around, but I wouldnt just want to see a non RPG Fallout "Builder"

thanks for all the replys everyone, but whats wrong with putting rpg, rebuilders, sims like ideas all together into one game. but reminding yourself not to limit the game just to that. My idea is based upon being hired by brotherhood of steele or someone like that and going from there with a turn around.

Well nothings impossible buy would a game like this do well on the market?
And how about the fans, will they like it and accept it as a true fallout game?

IMO, no, it would not do well on the market, cause if people want a game like that they can buy Sims games.
And I can't speak for every fan, I do not have the authority to do so, but as for my opinion I think it would not be a true fallout game.
