Invalid directory?

I am trying to replace an object's icon, but it says the icon is in an invalid directory. Is this invalid?

C:\Games\Oblivion\Data\Textures\clutter\key\skeletonkey.dds

Does anyone know what's causing this?

Icons must be in or in a sub directory of ...\Data\Textures\menus\icons otherwise the game will not find them !
