Nifskope Retexture Question

Post » Thu Feb 17, 2011 7:50 pm

I was wanting to recolor/retexture my automatic mini missile launcher, and set it apart visually from the regular combat shotgun. So I did the custom model, opened it in Nifskope, replaced all the references under BSShaderTextureSet to point to the proper, new textures. No problem.. looks great so far. Changed the model used in the geck to my new one.. again no problem, textures show fine and there's no named texture set overriding it. In game though, it's showing the regular textures for that gun.
What am I missing here? The textures were saved as DXT1 no alpha, and I did generate the proper mip maps for them. Any ideas?
Thanks

Did you also create a >Static gun and point to it in the weapons 'art' tab?

There's a lot of smileys available, but I think this one sums it up best:

That solved not only the missing mesh texture, but also another missing texture set override of it.
Many Thanks!
