I know that but im a very picky person and even with just the starting gear my character will have to look absolutely perfect before i can start popping up behid you all like a Ninja ;) no i joke.
But seriously.. you better have some heavy's watching your back otherwise me and Wraith are gonna getcha (Evil Grin)

Hate to rain on your parade, but sneaking up on people is not going to be as easy as you think...

"Firing your weapon or having a member of the opposition see you puts you on the opposition's radar, as does sprinting within a radius close the enemy. "

Thats crud. I can understand shooting, but sprinting and being seen?! That's just stupid!

Being seen is the same as the spotting feature in BC2, except it happens automatically, and sprinting close to an enemy - well, that would obviously make your presence known (loud footsteps are loud)

But if you're using silent footsteps you shouldn't show up. Also, if i'm caught running across rooftops (or somewhere high in a linear area) trying to sneak up on the enemy, I'd be dead so quick that light would become useless. I might as well be a heavy so I can withstand the hail of fire i'll recieve.

And right there, you answered your own question. The methods from which you can be detected can be countered.

Sprinting countered with silent footsteps
Being seen countered with hiding or killing the guy(s) that saw you
and firing your weapon, most likely countered by using a silencer.

Just takes up one of my ability slots that could be used for something else. This is why Ninjas are dying out..... :ninja:

What a smart move! This actually balances sound-whoring to an extend.

I wonder how close you have to be sprinting in order to show up on the radar?

Chances are about 8 meters.

Does anyone know if the archetypes available to a character are relative to their body type?

i.e: Do I have to be a heavy to use anything from the Shield Archetype?

know this may be a minor worry but what are your thoughts on the likelyhood of each customisation item being archetype specific?

For instance say that i wanted my character to have a certain Shirt/pant/whatever, but i dont want him to be built like a brick Sh*t house.
Do you guys think there will be any trouble with that or are the archetypes going to be truly just a base for your own world of customisation... or are we going to be limited to what we can use by archetype.

in any case i doubt im gonna like the securitys style.

You can mix and match. You can also look on www.brinkthegame.com to see how security/resistance looks like.

Avenger shirt, wit the Looks pants. teh archetype has red letters but you can change the color of the hood and lettering as seen in the Guns Choir video. The noise buffering thing reminds me of Sly Cooper also is it sprinting or walking or both?
Scene: A light running on a rooftop going to an objective with a silenced gun. Theris a scout who hears the footsteps and looks up, the light dispatches of him quickly. End scene. Are tehir markers telling you where your teamates are and were they died? compared to call of duty search and destroy games
Scene: 2v1 on search nd destry, your partner dies running towards a door, you sneak up through the windoww or something, and tkae him out even thoough he had all the "cant be seen" perks.
