Would WalMart carry the August GI?

For what it's worth, I usually get mine at the Food Lion just up the road, and I live in a real small town, so I would think WalMart would have it.

The Walmart here doesn't carry GI. I had to make my subscription at a Gamestop 40 miles away.

I am sorry, I have to say this... when Oblivion came out in Game Informer, I ran and bought it... then I got the subscription... and never renewed it. It is not a really great "informational" magazine, but it is a high quality magazine as far as the writing styles and the actual physical aspects, also great pics. But the layouts and the content lend to very little information. Yes, there are a few issues worth getting (yeah like Fallout on the cover and TES on the cover) but it is certainly not a magazine that I would get on a regular basis. So if anyone is really considering getting a subscription in the hopes that the GI will have the TESV, I certainly wouldn't advise that.

I don't know if these are old news, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWvbVhfWnK0 I won't insert my own speculative bias on TES V, but I think the videos provide some perspective on all the work that goes into the making of a TES game.

Just something to think about if your hopes get dashed at Quakecon or during the release of the August GI issue (it's just a rumor, after all). At some point during the videos they talk about starting development for the next gen consoles / pcs without even knowing what those machines would be like. Imagine the sort of foresight that must take. On that token, I think it likely that Bethesda has at least been looking at TES V for a while.

~4 years between Morrowind and Oblivion, just under 5 years between Oblivion and the next game and still no information, probably will be going on 6 by the time it comes out. I think it is time.

What do you mean it's a rumor? I haven't seen or heard a rumor that the August Game Informer is TES:V, we just all (some of us) think it is.

If the TES V issue comes out before my subscription ends, I'm not renewing it. Game Informer really isn't very good, they have a few interesting articles but they're rarely interesting enough for me to actually want to read them. Besides just by following the right game blogs you'll get all the info you need.

I've very rarely seen Game Informer magazines in stores outside of Gamestop, and if I do they usually aren't the current issue. So your best bet for finding one is at Gamestop. And remember you wont be getting it at the same time as subscribers will if you get it at the store.
