I want to play Oblivion again, after some time. I used to love it, but my xbox got the red ring and I lost all my save files. I had a character I was extremely attached to and well, you guys probably understand my frustration when I lost him. Anyways, that took away the appeal of Oblivion for quite some time. Lately though, after beating Fable 3 a few times, that I wanted to try to get back into Oblivion, for a deeper experience. So, I've been reading on the forums, and after seeing a journal entry of someone who made a quest, I decided that I wanted to create a new role play character. I already have most of his back story and initial drive for his actions completed. But, that's the only things I really have planned out. So, I need help on what his build should do. He'll have to have plenty of skills to survive in the Shivering Isles.
Okay, so his name is Anruin, and he's a Bosmer, because I love the little guys. Besides, the character I was attached to was a Bosmer also, so I have a special love for them. About six years before he was thrown into jail, he met a beautiful young Bosmeri archer named Nathien, and four years after, he fell head over heels for her. But, before he could find out how she really felt about him, she got killed doing a contract for the Fighter's Guild. Anruin was completely and irrevocably heart broken. He was so sad that he became a regular in the Skooma den. After a while, they got raided by the guards and that's how Anruin was thrown in jail.
And that's all I really have. I know that since he's tired of feeling heart broken, he'll go into the Isles early on to get some greenmote, since (I'm not so sure, though) it's not illegal. Like I said earlier, he needs some skills for survival in the Isles, most likely, he'll be in Dementia for a while. He also has a special dislike for the Fighter's Guild for obvious reasons.
I'm thinking that these may be a possible set of skills for him:
Class: Ranger
Race: Bosmer
Birthsign: The Steed
Specialization: Combat, Magic, Stealth
Attributes (2): Agility, Personality
Major Skills:
Marksman
Alchemy
Illusion
Light Armor
Sneak
Armorer
Blade
I don't really care about leveling speed or level caps, so I just chose the skills that I love to use, after all, this is going to be my main character, so might as well enjoy it as much as I can, right?
I'm also going to roleplay him as if I was a mentor that has been there all of his life. However, he doesn't always listen to me, especially when it comes to me trying to get him to stop his addiction.
