Mod Pack for a T1ger :D

Post » Thu Feb 24, 2011 7:45 pm

Hi all. I would like to ask you people for a little help. I reinstalled my fallout 3 today. After I have big problems with crashing and etc. I used many mods before because the vanilla game is too boring for me(after I finished it many times). Now I looking for a mod pack but I dont know wich one fits my requirements. Well I already read many readme from mods like FOOK or FWE but I am not sure wich one is good.
So If any1 can help me choose one of them.
My requirements is:
- I like slow leveling
- I like many real weapons
- Since I played mostly with male character I would like to play with female - so need better hair pack and body pack too(nvde included)
- Harder fighting, but not unreal. For example I hate if I have to shoot 3 magazins in single npc to kill. But I don't like to be like a god. So "real" fights, almost like Counter strike or that kind of games.
- Many new armors and cloths, and oder wearable items. Like sunglasses or hats...
- Better player house, not like Megaton house or tenpenny. But not like vault. Just a small, nice and good looking house(but fits in the wasteland atmosphere).
- since I played always in good ways, I want to have slaver quest and become a bad slaver :) Like hunting people and keep them in my house :D
- Better economy system wich not allow me to get better weapons so easily. Like every bullets cost money and I have to collecting items to sell to get money.
- I like to have the wasteland verry deadly, I like to run for live. Not just runing and shooting and looting.
- But I also don't use the first person view so mostly just look on my character from behind like in Gears of War. Probably thats the reason I didn't try FWE yet.
- I would like to have more npc's or creatures in wasteland but Mart's Mutant Mod causing to many crashes on my PC(probably because its overclocked) so I can't use it.
- And I like to have Wheather and graphics improvment too. Also darker nights.

I planing to play on verry hard difficulty. Tryed before and it's not that difficult.
Maybe my requirements don't fit perfectly to any existing mod, but wich one is closest?
Thats my question. Hope nobody will send me to xxxx because of my taste.
Waiting for response..

EDit: I have a Fallout 3 game and All DLC's installed. And my PC's have a good GPU so I can play on Ultra settings if any mod require better gpu.

My load orders main mods are FWE, WMK, EVE, MMM and a bunch of minor miscellaneous mods. Most of this stuff you can find from the http://www.fallout3nexus.com

- I like slow leveling

FWE does this nicely, and is configurable. There are also many standalone mods that accomplish this.

- I like many real weapons

FOOK2 has a truckload of real weapons. FWE has some, and i've heard of a mod called "20th century weapons" or something that should also add plenty of real-life weapons.

- Since I played mostly with male character I would like to play with female - so need better hair pack and body pack too(nvde included)

Type 3 and Type V are IMO the best looking ones, with largest clothing packs available, i've used Type 3 ever since it first came out. As for hair, i have used a mod called simply Hair Pack since starting with FO3. That includes hairstyles ported from Oblivion, including some very extravagant anime styled ones, and some more realistic looking ones.

- Harder fighting, but not unreal. For example I hate if I have to shoot 3 magazins in single npc to kill. But I don't like to be like a god. So "real" fights, almost like Counter strike or that kind of games.

Again, FWE modifies combat to be more lethal, and you can alter these settings yourself from a handy in-game control panel.

- Many new armors and cloths, and oder wearable items. Like sunglasses or hats...

For Type 3 and V female body model the Nexus is full of armor and clothing packs, personally i use a pack "Ling's Finer Things", that has large selection of armors, outfits and accessories. No clue what is available for male characters, though.

- Better player house, not like Megaton house or tenpenny. But not like vault. Just a small, nice and good looking house(but fits in the wasteland atmosphere).

There are many standalone mods in the nexus, personally i'm happy with the Megaton shack.

- Better economy system wich not allow me to get better weapons so easily. Like every bullets cost money and I have to collecting items to sell to get money.

FWE allows modifying barter settings, they really rip you off at harsher setting. However in Fallout 3 the best guns are found on the wasteland or dropped by enemies rather than bought from merchants. (I don't think i've ever bought a gun from a merchant, with or without mods :D).

- I like to have the wasteland verry deadly, I like to run for live. Not just runing and shooting and looting.

Mart's Monster Mod adds a whole bunch of new dangerous mutants, and allows increasing spawn rates. You haven't seen anything until you've run into a giant pack of night ghouls :cold:

- But I also don't use the first person view so mostly just look on my character from behind like in Gears of War. Probably thats the reason I didn't try FWE yet.

FWE does not alter the unmodded views in any way. I think there are mods that improve the third person camera, but i've been happy with the way the unmodded camera works. And i too prefer third person viewpoint, unless i need to hit something with an unscoped weapon :D

- I would like to have more npc's or creatures in wasteland but Mart's Mutant Mod causing to many crashes on my PC(probably because its overclocked) so I can't use it.

MMM is really the only available for that. For me it doesn't cause any instability, maybe it was a mod conflict?

- And I like to have Wheather and graphics improvment too. Also darker nights.

Fellout delivers darker nights, so much so that a nightvision is a must. And it alos gets rid of the greenish tint, making the game much prettier. Dynamic wheather alters the wheather patterns, and there is an optional file for rain, and radioctive rain, too.

Thank's guys for helping me :D
I playing now with FWE and I have to say its much-much better then I expected. Its change the game in a big challenge but still keeps the game in the "reality". Verry good modification with the brilliant ingame settings. I am playing on Hard and after a 12 hours of gameplay only reached the 4th level :D I love also the different start(I am a slaver now ).
Just missing the guns even if there's some good I've seen so far. But its sad this mod (new one) doesn't support 20th centurys weapons mod. Hope they fix it soon -if any1 tryed it (FWE - 20th centurys weapon) and its wokrs please let me know.

I also use Fellout and Enhanced wheater mod(love the rain and snow)

I downloading now the Fin's armor and clothes pack, but I am affraid I using different body type. But will see after test.

I really love the MMM pack too. But always when I try it I have too often crash to desktop(The program stop working - vista says). But maybe I try the lite version again and will see.

If you can boys check then my load order, maybe that will resolve my problem with MMM pack.
I post it after install and test.

P.S. I deffinitely will try that Tiger quest mod too :) thanks for info.

Thanks
