www.elderscrolls.com - Alduins Wall Update

Post » Sat Feb 26, 2011 2:31 pm

I just realised that they updated the main page of elderscrolls, to be specific Alduins Wall. Now there are different dragon shouts audible depending where you are on the wall. For example: Stay a while at the spot where Dovakhiin is located and you here a different dragon shout. It's also like this with other spots on the wall!

It's interesting, but I don't hear any different dragon shouts, just the sound of stone being shifted.

Just go to the upper left where alduin appeared first and stay on that spot for 1 minute, you will hear a different shout for sure!

Oh fancy! If you scroll the background around you'll get to hear different sounds depending on what comes into view, like the Oblivion gate and the Dovahkiin.

I now think it was there from the start. If I recall correctly I already one of these sounds before but I didn't pay attention... Interesting find, uh?

Maybe a dev or moderator can comment on whether it was right there from the start or added later?

I'm pretty certain it wasn't there before, seeing as it used to be a lot more silent. At least as far as I remember.

Edit: and why the heck does my avatar keep switching back and forth between two different ones??

Wow that was a nice catch. /applause

So I guess that the sound you here in the trailer that the dragon makes when it spits fire is the dragon shout that creates fire. Interesting. I like how the dragon shouts are really just shouting words.

It wasn't there from the beginning. The only thing that was there before was the sound it makes when you scroll over Alduin being sealed and the sound of wind in a cave in the background. It didn't used to have the drumming or the other sounds, I know because I looked over the wall when the trailer first came out because I was ecstatic that they finally announced the game meaning that it wasn't long before they showed me the game.

It definitely was there from the beginning... I recognize all these sounds... Also, I do not think these are dragonshouts, they aren't very shouty and the guy who does the audio even said they were going to get some people to just scream and then modify the voice a bit.
