So using the screen resolution on fallout 1 worked to get rid of the rainbow, now its doing it again, but a lot of the info out there doesn't work for me because I use steam so what should i do?

If you're running Vista or Win. 7 I believe you need to disable aero or something along those lines.

I would also check out the steam forums for Fallout if I were you.
