Skyrim May Be The One

Skyrim is basically taking all the good elements from Fable (jobs) and Fallout (perks). With these awesome combinations and Bethesda's own masterpieces this may be the best Elder Scroll.

Er...yay? You made a whole thread for that? N-no offence, but I'll put five bucks on mods being here to close it in 5 min.

"When visiting cities, the player can complete activities such as farming and mining, and is able to smith weapons from a forge.", I heard about some others in a magazine article. Either it's for you or it can be a job.

............Jobs did not originate with Fable.........in every TES you had a Job in the form of guilds k?

and Perks were always in the series, they were called Traits and birthsigns.

this thread is somewhat pointless (my opinion)

please lock before this becomes a this game is better than that game etc etc, and the potential flame bait.

Fable's "jobs" were pretty bland. Just a bunch of quicktime events that would just go on forever. You could make so much money in one sitting it just got boring :/
And no, I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything. It's just my experience with the "jobs" system.

There not jobs though there quests. There is a difference between mining and say killing a couple of rats. The perks are going to be like the Fallout one. I don't see why there would be a flame war. Bethesda is truly trying to make a epic of a rpg.

Ugh, I was of the impression that mining, farming and such were only means to acquire resources to craft items and brew potions etc - when said like in your quotation, it sounds like some sort of mixbreed Fable-esque busywork. Oh, well. We'll see how it goes...

So long as the armor system is on par or better than morrowind it will be the greatest imo.

Like I said, I am not sure if they will be jobs or a tool used to gather resources. Mining is a no brainer since you need ore to make swords and etc. We will just have to wait and see. It would be cool though to sell the excess ores and sell crappy swords and etc you don't need.
