[Arts and Crafts] My New Vegas-planner!

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 6:19 pm

I just finished making a planner for 2011 in a Fallout-design. I bought a cheap 2011-planner and turned it from http://mudcrabsden.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/cimg1889.jpg...

... to http://mudcrabsden.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/cimg1937.jpg.

I followed http://lenoki.deviantart.com/'s bookbinding tutorial. Here's a link to http://lenoki.deviantart.com/art/BOOKBINDING-TUTORIAL-part-I-105762746?q=boost%3Apopular+bookbinding+tutorial&qo=0 and http://lenoki.deviantart.com/art/BOOKBINDING-TUTORIAL-part-II-105836054?q=boost%3Apopular+bookbinding+tutorial&qo=1. I wrote a http://mudcrabsden.wordpress.com/2011/01/02/arts-and-crafts-my-new-vegas-planner/ about it where you can see some more details and read about the process of making it.

Have you ever tried bookbinding? Have you made anything Fallout-themed?

Sweet. That looks totally sick, my favorite is the back cover. I, for one, have never tried to do anything like that.(I lack talent)

And I don't think that's marble, I think it's a white sheet. But that is certainly some nice wood. Oak?

Thank you ^^

The backgrounds are my old oak desk and my white linen bedsheets.

If you read through the tutorial a couple times it is very easy to understand after a while. Especially if you work with an existing book instead of making your own pages and stuff (I gotta try that sometime). The photoshop-part was tricky enough, though. But there are thousands of great photoshop-tutorials out there so don't feel discouraged if you want to try making something :celebration:
