One final note, I thought it would be interesting to present Fallout: Days of Fire as a series of Holotapes. Further more I am also entertaing the idea of telling two stories at once. Meaning writing out the adventures and what about the person who is listening to the Holotapes along with the one contained within the Holotapes. Tell me if you like this idea. Depending on the response, I just might do it.
So, with no further a due, here is Holotape #1...
Holotape #1: Introduction
What does it mean to be Hero? Fame and fortune, women and the best armor and weapons caps can buy? No, it means you have to live with the memories of all the killing and screams, love and loss, of betrayal and hope. To be a hero in the Wasteland, you gotta be a killer with a big gun. Being a hero isn't at all what it's cracked up to be. No, I'd have rather had to survive day to day then be the 'Hero' I am now. Hell, I still had to survive day to day, but I had the weight of the world on my shoulders.
I'll admit, though, that because of the killer I was, the world is safer now than it was back than. There is still marauding bands of Raiders and Slavers, Roving groups of Super-Mutants, as well as the occasionally Deathclaw nest, and the very rare sightings of Aliens and Fire Geckos. But it is safer.
My name is Eric Grayson, and I saved the world.
