Pirates Killed

Post » Tue Mar 08, 2011 1:13 am

I was going to get some shuteye on the bed rolls on the Imperial Waterfront and it said I can't sleep when enemies are near. So I thought okay who have I annoyed (I was jumping from roof to roof to increase my aerobics), I went to the pirates as they're aggressive and as I turned up Hieronymus Lex starts welding his Claymore and hacking down every pirate in sight. What the hell happened?? Does anyone know??

If you board the pirate ship the pirates will turn hostile to you. In turn the imperial guard will put them down.

Kurisian speaks the truth.

If you set foot on the Pirate ship, the Pirates immediately attack you. The Dark Elf woman even warns you about it, should you speak to her. But since "walking onto a ship" isn't exactly a crime, the guards think the pirates just lost their minds, and thus dispatch them.

You got too close to the ship, and when warned (and I know you were) twice, they became hostile to you. But if you aren't in their area, they won't follow you. Lex showed up just at the point where you were close enough to the hostile pirates, and, as commander of the watch, was simply doing his duty in cutting down the brigand population in town.

You just go straight to the cargos near and right to the ship then a dialogue window jumps out to give a choice to hide in the cargos and get loaded on borad where you could assassin the captain.

nope i was nowhere near them, I've had no warnings. As I said all I was doing was jumping rooftops on the Waterfront shacks. I think Lex snapped and killed them all. I was quite funny as now when I walk past the ship there will be no more singing

Yup, crazy people do that some times. It's a known fact.

There should be more things like this in the game. These pirates are threatening everyone, singing loudly at all hours of the morning. Hell yeah they should be brought to justice, ok the death penalty is a bit harsh but we live in harsh times.

TThe rooftop over the building nearest the pirate ship might be considered "too close" for the game engine.

Look at this way, you've just made a certain quest I won't mention further a lot easier.

Something similar happened with both myself and my friend Bridget. In both cases, we didn't even have to go onboard the ship (just get close) and the pirates attacked without any warning. The only pirate I spoke to was one who was serenading me. I thought he was nice to serenade me like that and he looked a little like my man Marcel, but then he was very rude about me being a fancy pants and he had nothing to say to me (after that, I was so glad of a chance to hit him without bleeding heart town guards getting in my face about it). I like that the pirates are so easily upset and start running around attacking you with swords. It's a pity that they don't seem to respawn though (particularly as I haven't done that later quest involving the ship yet and I'd love to have them to kill all over again).
