Too much Sneak

Having sneak makes the game way too easy.
I sneak up hit enemy twice and there dead which makes it very unchallenging.

If you don't like sneaking, then maybe you shouldn't sneak?

I however, like stealth.

I think they just need to beable too hear you and investigate and when you kill someone especially when there are othere's right there have automatic detection. or if you stand too close.

If you are on pc I am sure there are mods out there that change the level of detection while in sneak.

One solution is not to sneak so much.
I went to the doctor one day. I told him it hurt when I moved my shoulder this way. The doctor said "Stop moving it that way."

Really characters can be balanced to be good at a lot of things I like that about the elder scrolls. Sometimes I sneak up and dishonorably kill orcs since they'll just say something silly before I kill them otherwise, other times I turn them into the sliced strips of bacon boethiah intended them to be with blade and magic.

Love stealth. Love how to get what I want or do what I want without anyone noticing I was even there. Of course, this is not for everyone, like so many things :)

Indeed. Now granted, maybe you do like stealth, you just don't like how its implemented in Oblivion. But if you just don't like sneaking, then you probably should keep your hand away from the sneak key, and not bother raising sneak. The point of having a skill system in the game and classes and such is to allow you to play the kind of character you want to play, and be good at it.

Although, I kind of like playing stealth characters myself, sneaking can be fun, and I prefer the questlines for the two stealth oriented factions in Oblivion to those of the Mages or Fighters Guild.

Sneak is perfect for the archer character with poison. I would never use it for a warrior with steel boots. It just seems very unrealistic.

What level is your character? I'm so curious about your "hit twice and the enemy dead there"...

What platform? There are indeed mods to enhance the stealth players immersion. In fact, there is a thread dedicated to that very purpose.

I don't have a problem with sneak for the most part, but I do find it a little unlikely when you're crouched behind something like a minotaur (for example) and you hack at it with your blade and he doesn't move, and every subsequent swing you take (as long as you stay crouched behind him) gives you the same 6X damage. I can understand the first one, but you'd think after getting stabbed/slashed in the back, he'd be aware of your presense. I just assumed it was a glitch, but it seems to happen quite a bit for me now.

How do you manage this? I have never been able to do multiple melee sneak attacks on an enemy even with100 in sneak and agility. Yes you can do it with chameleon or drain speed 100, but that is overpowered.
However undead are slow, with high sneak I can do multiple sneak attack with a bow even at pretty close range.

Like yesterday I attacked a dreugh with a minataur standing right there and it did nothing even when I was noticed being there by the dreugh. So after I killed it I killed the minataur with 2 hits.
