Look at some of the other threads on the forum. You'll see some heated debates about which TES game is better. Morrowind vs. Oblivion, Arena vs. Daggerfall, Daggerfall, vs. Morrowind. People still play the old TES games, they always will. Just like people still play the old Fallout games.
Personally, I played Oblivion shortly after I heard the rumor through Eurogamer about TES V...I started a new game but only played it for maybe an hour or so. Same goes for Morrowind, I played that for a few days just a few weeks before. It's not that I'm bored of those games or have moved on. It's more that I've played 100s of hours on both. On Oblivion I did maybe 8-10 playthroughs. Morrowind I did 2-3 playthroughs and each playthrough has close to 100 hours attached to it.
I've been more into Fallout the past few years, but I just might make a return back to TES soon. No matter how many hours I play it, if I take a break from it I'll always come back and spend at least another 50 hours on it. So my Oblivion won't be left in the dust for all eternity....it will be shiny someday again.
Actually all this talking about it makes me wanna play :bolt:
