Using Fallout soundtrack on Youtube Fallout fan podcast

Post » Sat Mar 12, 2011 1:05 pm

Hello,

I want to make on Youtube some non-commerical Fallout podcast about my own fan art.

Really great if I can include in the background 1-2min of some Fallout 3 soundtrack.
I think about : requiem of humanity / or / i don't want to set the world in fire.
Don't know yet ... still thinking ...

The question is - is it law allowed ? If i put in credits hints to Fallout / Bethseda etc. ?
Let we say it's some kind of AD for fallout :)

But music as music has some copyrights, and i don't want go to jail for breaking law :(
Can somebody give some statement about copyrights ?

Thanks.
And don't spend to much caps during holidays ;)

I think if you use it for non commercial and non profit uses, then it's acceptable, but if you want to play it safe, just email or phone Bethesda or Zenimax (Bethesdas parent company) and ask what are the laws of using it, and ask for permission to use it in your non profit fanworks.

I think more about some [STICKED] FAQ topic written by crew as roadmap for fan art activity.
