[REQ] A mod that lets you see your body in first person?

Post » Sat Mar 12, 2011 7:47 pm

Is there a mod that lets you see your body in first person view? Like if you look down, you see your legs? For some reason, I remember seeing a mod like that but I can't remember where. :(

I think it's impossible in this game. I recall reading somewhere that when you are in 1st person, all you actually 'have' is arms. You are disembodied arms.

..... macabre, if you ask me.

so when an npc sees you while your in first person all they see is a floating pair of arms? that would explain their garbage aim.

Haha, if I remember correctly they are right though. You are just a set of arms wondering the wasteland. It would be cool to see your lefs when sitting and stuff, but a loss we will have to live with.

I see. :(

Well, it looks like I'm never playing this POS game again.

(I'm kidding, lol. I just thought it'd be neat if you could see your own body.)

It actually isn't impossible at all, as shown here at the elder scrolls nexus: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20891. I know its the elder scrolls, but its the exact same engine. That mod is still very glitchy though, and for this type of mod to work we'd need a dedicated team of animators and some time.

You could edit the third person view to be at the tip of the players nose and then lock them into third person mode.

Yeah, but some people like 3rd person view in some circumstances. Or, at least I do. From what I know, Loup Sombre took the third person camera's entire body and included it in the 1st person camera by attaching the body underneath the 1st person camera.

Well, surprise to me, I go on the elder scrolls nexus 5 minutes after and I find this:

This one looks much less glitchy and still looks awesome, but Loup Sombre's mod also offers third person actions (i.e., read a book); however, his is still very glitchy. Hopefully someone can do the same in Fallout 3 as P-Froggy and Loup Sombre have down for tes.
