Can I Back Up An Entire Mod Install

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 4:05 pm

Okay, I've been wondering this for sometime. I'm spending a lot of time getting my install clean and correct. However, my install includes some pretty intense mods: FCOM, COBL, and some utilities like OBSE, Streamline, etc. If I have to do a new install at some point, for whatever reason, I have to start from the beginning installing all these mods.

Once I have the mod installed, cleaned, and everything working: can I just copy the following directories:

C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion

C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion

to a backup drive and then, if need be, just reinstall the directories over a clean Oblivion install? Even if I could just do the FCOM install and save myself hours and hours of install time, that would be wonderful.
