Another guy who's using Windows 7.

Okay... Too many know-it-alls out there... So instead of actually thinking I can get a fix from a professional gamesas crew member... I'll start by asking...

Are there any real plans to fix the Fallout 3 problems on Windows 7? I got Fallout 3 back in the days I had XP. Started one DLC before I upgraded to Windows 7. Haven't played since.

I would like to finish the DLC in Fallout 3 BEFORE New Vegas. I'm not paying twice as much for half the Fallout experience (okay, I'm exaggerating... Perhaps 3/4 of the Fallout experience).

This is a user forum, Bethesda doesn't post here and FO3 is not going to see any further official updates

Yeah, I didn't think Bethesda posted here. If I knew how, I'd just send them an e-mail directly and encourage them to make the fix... And, I just realized I could try to contact them through the main site instead of looking for contact information on the fallout.gamesas site...

And that fix sounds like something I've attempted before (similar, but different). But I can't recall all the attempts I made. Still, I gave this one a shot, and same result. Granted, who knows what attempt I tried last on this game. I think it was a memory fix, but, I dunno... Still, I should attempt to uninstall and reinstall I suppose if I want to give this a fair chance of success. And I was so hopeful this would do it on the first try, too.

Okay, I got Fallout 3 working. However, it was only when I upgraded my video card that it was working. It wasn't any fancy tricks or anything. I just got new hardware...

Maybe it has more to do with the way the game recognizes hardware on Windows 7 that was originally designed for XP? ... I'm not a computer genius, but that makes more sense than everybody trying to pick a simple explanation and expecting it to be the end-all fix. I don't have anything against simple explanations. But if it really was that simple, gamesas probably would have fixed it by now...
