Hey everyone. The installer for francescos items addon is broken and does not install the esm. Can anyone upload as I need it to play? Thanks.

yeah i downloaded both the base and the addon installers. this happened on my last comp also. the installer is broken and i need the esm.

cany any1 please upload it to like megaupload? takes 5 seconds and its small and I can't play without it.

Are you SURE you downloaded both of the required parts? It should be included in the download. It worked fine for thousands of other people.

And no one will upload the file for you. One, it is a form of plagiarism to upload someone's work without their permission. And two, you should be able to get the file yourself easily.

I'll join my voice to the OP's. I've installed the FrancescosOptionalNewItemsCreatures.exe as well, and for some reason it does not create the esm file on my Windows 7 box. The bsas both appear, but the esm...not in the least. Is there a non exe version of this file available somewhere so that we can get our hands on the esm?

This sounds like a problem with the UAC in Windows 7 and Vista. Install your game somewhere other than Program Files and run the Fran's installer as an administrator.

I assure you, the installer is not broken.

I should have mentioned that I had already been running the installer as Administrator- I did try your suggestion, however, and attempt the install to somewhere other than Program Files.

Unfortunately, it was the same result:

FraNewItems.bsa

...but no esm.

I would definitely appreciate any other suggestions (as I am sure the OP would), or a download location for the unpacked mod so that we can download the esm.

Are you sure there aren't two things to download - one containing only the BSA? Let me check my own files. Be back in a sec.

Francescos_leveled_creatures_items_mod_4.5b-2518.exe contains ESM, ESP files and a folder named Francesco's mod, which contains uninstall info and some other stuff. If you do not have this content, you haven't downloaded all the installers you need.

I can't be entirely certain- you mean, could it come from Francescos_leveled_creatures-items_mod.exe?

Edit: And yes, Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm is part of Francescos_leveled_creatures-items_mod.exe. Thanks for the help!

Just to sum up for everybody in the thread:

Francescos_leveled_creatures_items_mod_4.5b-2518.exe, might also be named FrancescosLeveledCreaturesItemsMod.exe, contains ESM, ESP files and a folder named Francesco's mod, which contains uninstall info and some other stuff. If you do not have this content, you haven't downloaded all the installers you need.

You also need FrancescosOptionalNewItemsCreatures.exe, which installs FraNewItems.BSA and FraNewCrea.BSA
