Stat Tracker?

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 2:09 pm

So I like games that have an in-depth stat tracker. Don't know why.

I'm not just talking about K/D ratio, but what type of gun you use the most, how man miles you've run, games you've won, games you've lost, time played, what type of character you use most or least, stuff like that. The more it keeps track of the better.

So, will Brink have anything like this? Or will it just keep track of the basics?

Nop, the devs wanted to promote team work and stats ussaly get people to do everything they can to get to best stats like the most kills instead of helping team mates.

If there are any stat tracking I hope for only Win/Loss ratio. an unfortunate portion of gamers are hung up on KDR.. I picked up KZ3 the other day and have been playing a lot of warzone.. Got in to a match the other day and there were so many friggin' snipers on this squad, didn't see one medic or engineer, hell I didn't even see anyone running around from my team.. everyone was hiding trying to protect that KDR from going down instead of completing the objective..

I would rather go 5 and 50 but win the match instead of 50 and 5 with a loss.

They arent even including w/l, as that promotes team stacking and team switching, just to get wins. They want the only goal to be doing the best for your team that you can.

We had a topic about this before and for almost every stat we could find a negative point, except the ones like shots fired.

I do think they track many stats, they just aren't showed. There is no clear official word on things like accuracy and such though.

But they WILL track K/D, they just won't show it in the in-game statboard. Although you can change that if you create your own server.

Agreed stats hold back the game I managed to get my gamertag coquedriver to top ten in the world(which makes me giggle cuz I don't think I'm that good and there must be alot of cheaters out there, anyway check if the don't believe me) on domination in blk ops but only because of my great team of friends my kd is ok my not great I just get good score, I likehow halo misses out negative stat, it helps ppl that stifle to do well still enjoy them selves and not get hung up on the stats. Even tho I really like stat tracking I fully back get that keep it to a min rp bring the best experience for everyone...'no' team sniper quick scoping battys plz.

It was confirmed that there is stat-tracking in the game; however, these stats seem to be used for development, so SplashDamage can patch important issues/imbalances without having to listen to "loud people".

Makng them "invisible" is definately a good approach, to counter stat-wh0ring.

I don't even think they'll have that. I do wish they kept track of at least K/D and W/L, but I guess I'm going to have to do that manually :cryvaultboy:

i would like a Stat tracker but only one permitted users can view that way there people recruiting on clans can see your stats and rate you if they want or don't want you in and people in games won't be trying to dodge you or pick you first in teams like joining red team cause they're k/d's are all 2.50+ and blue team is all .50-

The official MAG leaderboard were pretty poor, so a player just created their own leaderboard website. I know they're hiding stats in-game for Brink, but since stats are getting tracked is it possible the information may be accessed somehow anyway? Ie. what's the likelihood we'll see a fan-made leaderboard website?

It should be a stat tracker based on how well you use each class.

There is a scoreboard at the end of each match that ranks you based on total XP earned. I think that's the only thing it tells you, aside from your name and what team you were on. So if you want to feel really good about yourself then buff the crap out of your teammates. :disguise:

http://www.mag.com/en_NZ/mag/leaderboards.html?forumMode=null, versus http://magleaderboards.com/. I suppose it's possible since the official site tracks all statistics... it's just widely believed the fan-site is somehow more accurate and detailed.

Well if it were to have a stat tracker it would at least need an accuracy stat, I don't care about the other things.

That's what I mean. How is a fan-run site generating legit stats?

Shadowrun did the same thing to promote teamwork. But the achievements kind of led to a lot of particular tendencies of some players...
